I am a native to Denver, CO. I grew up in the Park Hill Area and graduated from Denver East High School. I am the proud mother of one daughter, who will graduate from high school in the spring of 2009. I am a graduate of the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Communications. I am currently enrolled in the Midwives College of Utah, where I am pursing a Master’s Degree in Midwifery. As a master’s Degree candidate, I am required to publish original research that directly relates to midwifery. I have chosen to study the effects of the lunar cycle on the circadian rhythms of the body in the regulation of fertility, pregnancy and birth. As of December 2008, I will have attended 30 women during the pregnancy and birth process. My current status is an Intern Midwife. As an intern midwife, I required to provide primary care to clients, at a reduced fee for services, under the supervision of a licensed midwife. The supervising midwife will be present for all prenatal visits, the birth, and all postpartum visits. I am required to provide primary care to 22 women to fulfill requirements for both graduation from The Midwives College of Utah and licensure in the State of Colorado.
